A New Year Brings an Almost Finished New House

My Mom's new house is coming along nicely. It won't be too long before she is moving in. Of course, the finishing touches is always what seems to take the longest.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hailey's school is having their Thanksgiving Feast today. Her entire class came to our house yesterday to prepare the food. Hailey really enjoyed have everyone over to her house, however, they were all more interested in playing then cooking. Hailey was so excited about the feast today so I even made her a pilgrim costum to wear. Unfortunately she got sick in the middle of the night and wasn't able to attended the feast. Sorry Hailey, maybe next year.

Caught In The Rain

We welcome the rain but it was really bad timing for me. A really hevy shower right when Tyler and I was leaving the store with a cart full of groceries:(. Tyler had fun when we got home. And they did get the roof on my Mom's house this week and most of the windows in.

Building A New Life

It has been a really difficult year for my Mom as everyone knows. However, she is moving forward with her life. She is building a new house and is excited about it. The builder has been making great progress every week. I have already gone with her to pick out lots of the fixture for the interior. At this rate she will be in her new house in no time. Here are so pics.

We didn't get many pictures this year but here are a few. Tyler was a Football Player and Hailey was, or course, Ariel. The first picture is the ghost that we made. (Thanks Steph's friends for the idea!) Before trick-or-treating the kids bobbed for donuts and I scared them with a mask. I asked Todd the bring the girls in so I could jump out at them. Well, he brought Tyler and Sam also. So I jumped out of the closet expecting to scare the girls a little and instead I terrified all the kids. Tyler would not have anything to do with me for the rest of the night. He just kept telling Lizz, " Mommy scare me, Bad Mommy." Sam ran out faster then I have ever seen a baby run. Hailey and Morgan screamed and ran a little ways, and Hannah was paralyzed with fear. All she could do was stand there and hide her face. I didn't think the mask was that scary. At least Tyler was the only one mad at me. The girls thought it was all part of Halloween fun.

Hailey's First Day Of School!

So Stephanie brought it to my attention that I never put a first day of school blog up. I only post pictures on facebook so here it is. Todd forgot to sign one of her forms so he had to go in with her while I waited in the car with Ty. ( I think it might have all been a plan on Todd's part.).


She has now been in school for a while and is doing well. She has really learned alot, especially how to follow directions! I really like her teacher and I think she is great for Hailey. She said that Hailey is very entertaining and social, and she is doing great:-). I am so thankful that Hailey's first teacher finds her entertaining! God Bless Mrs. Garcia!

Friday Night Lights!

The girls wanted to go to a Somerset football game so we took them Friday. The girls are all ready to be cheerleaders. They had a good time and Somerset won the game 21-0!

Hailey's First Show-N-Tell

Today Hailey has show and tell for the first time. She took her autograph book and necklace with pins from Disney World. I thought they was get her plenty to tell about. I wish I could watch her! The Teacher sent a news letter home on Monday with class news. The last paragraph talked about the class fish. Hailey suggested the name Ariel Pallumba, which was choosen by the class:-). That makes me laugh everytime I think about it.

A BIG MESS!

Just when I thought I was going to get my house in order we found mold in the bottom of the pantry:-(. We called the D.R. Horton warrenty rep. and this is what followed





They found a leak in the wall behind the pantry. It is from a nail hole in the pipe from the upstairs bath. The wall and cabinet behind the kitchen sink were full of mold! It all has to be replaced. It could take up to 5 weeks before they get in the new kitchen cabinets. We had to have this extremely loud fan and dehumidifier on all weekend:-(. And it will probably not be fixed by Tyler's Birthday party. The one good thing is that we are not having to pay for any of it.--

Hailey's First Day of School

Hailey was very excited about her first day!!!! In the video she says " I can't believe I get to use scissors." Then she goes through all of the different pairs she has and the two knifes(child cutlery) she is allowed to use at dinner. She had a great first day. She was not scared or shy at all. She even picked the name for the class fish. I will give you one guess what it is. It doesn't surprise me at all that she was able to talk the class into Ariel. Her class is made up of 14 girls and 3 boys. She is still excited on day 2 and 3 of school, however, she has not been waking-up in such a chipper mood. She is not use to getting up early everyday. I am excited for Hailey to have fun in school and to learn, but I do miss her while she is there. The hardest part is knowing that she doesn't need me to be with her. She can take care of herself. Also, now my entire schedule revolves around getting Hailey ready for school or dance and taking her to school or dance. I can just imagine what it will be like when Tyler is old enough to have classes and activities.

Tyler's Big Boy Bed

This is Tyler's new big boy bed.


We moved Hailey into her twin bed and moved Ty out of the crib and into the toddler-bed. I let him pick out the new bedding. As you can see he picked Toy Story! He really likes it, but that does not mean he stays in it all night. I don't really mind because I don't want him to grow up so fast anyway.

Happy Birthday Morgan!

Saturday was Morgan's 5th birthday! We had a party for her on Friday at the office.


Linda got her a really cute My Little Pony cake. Linda is so sweet. As you all know my Dad passed away the morning following Hailey's birthday. I was with my Dad on her birthday and wasn't able to get her cake finished. Linda, who is always so sweet to our kids, got Hailey a beautiful princess castle cake and threw her a party at the office. Linda, Lisa and everyone else at the office were so great to do this for our family. It ment so much to us to have their support during that difficult time. Thank you so much everyone for caring for our kids in such a special way.

Tyler's First Dental Check-Up

Tyler had his first check-up with the dentist last Thursday! He did much better then I expected. He was entertained by the spit sucker thing for a while.


He let them clean all of his teeth but by the time the dentist came to take a look he was done. This is how it ended.

Superhero Tyler

SAM!!!

So, my Mom and I are now keeping my nephew Sam during the day. What were we thinking to sign up for this. Sam is as cute as a baby can be, but he is at the "get in to everything stage." Just like Tyler, Jack, and Callie before him he loves to get into the kitchen shelves. Here's the proof!


Tornado Sam has moved on leaving his path of destruction behind! This is just a small portion of the mess caused by this powerful storm. We just might have to rename the livingroom tornado alley.

Goo Goo bought the kids cupcakes the other day. As you can see Ty loved it but he got a little messy. And YES, it was the kind of icing that dyes their skin! Thanks Goo Goo! Now my son is a smurf!

Why do my kids keep growing?

Thursday Tyler had his 18 month check-up. I can't believe he is come up on 2. Why does my sweet baby boy have to keep getting older. On Thursday he and Goo Goo were going for a ride to see the cows, and when they were backing out Tyler waved and said "Bye, Wove You.". That was the first time he told me that he loves me. He is so sweet! And I really can't believe that Hailey will be 4 years old in a month. I tell her all the time to stop growing, but she just doesn't listen. She says " but Mom, I just have to grow.". What's a Mom to do?

Walk Papa Walk

It has been 70 days since my Dad's back surgery. He came home 19 days ago without him being able to do anything for himself. Now he does everything for himself except walk and pulling up his pants. I do physical therapy with him twice everyday. A real physical therapist come out three times a week and occupational therapy come twice a week. He works really hard at all of his exercises! Last week on Friday he stood twice and walked 15 steps. Today he walked 4 times. The first time he took 15 steps. The second time he walked to the end of the hallway, ABOUT 40 STEPS! Then he walked two more times about 20 steps each! He is giving it all he's got. I am so proud of him. Everyone please keep praying for his continued progress and for him to be able to ride in the car comfortable. He really wants to take a trip out to the ranch.

Nana's Visit

Rodeo
