Walk Papa Walk

It has been 70 days since my Dad's back surgery. He came home 19 days ago without him being able to do anything for himself. Now he does everything for himself except walk and pulling up his pants. I do physical therapy with him twice everyday. A real physical therapist come out three times a week and occupational therapy come twice a week. He works really hard at all of his exercises! Last week on Friday he stood twice and walked 15 steps. Today he walked 4 times. The first time he took 15 steps. The second time he walked to the end of the hallway, ABOUT 40 STEPS! Then he walked two more times about 20 steps each! He is giving it all he's got. I am so proud of him. Everyone please keep praying for his continued progress and for him to be able to ride in the car comfortable. He really wants to take a trip out to the ranch.

Great quotes!

Hey everyone! Seeing the funny kids quotes on everyone's blogs has inspired me to put some on my own page.

Hailey was playing outside barefooted when she fell and stubbed her toe badly. She was really crying so I carried her inside to put a bandage on it when she asked; "I'm I going to Jesus?"

Hannah to Morgan: "What are you going to be when you grow up?"
Morgan: "I don't know yet."
Hannah: "You should know by now.". (Morgan is 4 years old)
Morgan: "Maybe I will work at Target when I grow up."
(I haven't asked Hannah in a while, but in the past she said that when she grows up she wants to be a cowgirl princess.)

Hailey: "I'm going to marrie Ryan when I grow up."
Morgan: "You can't marrie your cousin. It's against the LOG."

Sorry for any misspellings. The iPhone key board is small and I don't have spell check on it.

First blog from my iPhone

Hey everyone we are on our way home from Houston. Todd had a three day workshop to attend so the kids and I came along. The hotel was really nice and we had lots of fun. The kids and I went to the zoo the first day while Todd was working. It was a great zoo. We saw all of the big animals like lions, bears, garaffes, and elephants. We took a train ride and a carrousal ride. They had a petting zoo with goats. Hailey and Tyler both brushed the goats. I can't believe Tyler wasn't afraid of them. I will upload pics later. When Todd was done for the day we headed to The Galleria for a little bit of shopping. It wouldn't be a Townsend vacation if we didn't shop. Hailey and Todd went ice-skating for the first time. Hailey had to hold the wall or her Daddy, but she did really well. When she fell the first time so almost cried. But after that she just kept trying. I was so proud of her. She was out of breathe and having to work real hard to stay up, but she didn't want to quit. That my girl!

Tyler didn't get to skate, however, he did play on a mickey d's playground for the first time. This one had steps that he could go up unlike the usual ones where he is to short.

I love that silly smile!

We had a great trip to H-town!

Super Bowl Sunday

We finally had a night to stay home and relax. We have all been really busy, so we made the most of our evening at home. Hailey and Tyler had fun playing football and cheerleading while Todd and I watched the super bowl and played with them. I can't believe that January is already gone. It went by so fast.
